The MapMyRun feature is not only perfect if you want data of your runs to analyse afterwards. Frankly, it is surprisingly accurate, and you also get plenty of data that I have never even used before, like where you land on your foot and the length of your strides. The biggest question regarding this technology is how precise the data is. I have heard of it a couple of times but never tested it out myself. This ”smart-shoe” concept is built around the MapMyRun app, and it has been a big part of the Under Armour running category for some time now. There were multiple things I was looking forward to with this shoe, but I was, most of all, looking forward to the smart technology in the shoe (it has a built-in chip). However, you always get a little bit excited when it is a big and reputable brand that launches running shoes, as it often equals quality. For this reason, it was a new experience for me to run in a pair of Under Armour running shoes. To many, Under Armour is renowned for its fitness assortment and perhaps not as much for its running shoes – at least that’s how I felt. Your shoe will measure everything, and you get all the data once you upload it from home. Also, it is a great plus that the running shoe can become your new personal trainer. A fast tempo shoe with a very responsive midsole.
